About

I am Chrystal Wilkeson, English teacher at New Prairie High School in northern Indiana.  I have taught students in grades 7-12 for 17 years.  I specialize in the teaching of writing, but I also teach American and English literature and journalism.  I advise all publications at my school including our newspaper, yearbook and broadcast.  I served as English department leader for over 10 years, and School Improvement Team leader for more than 8.  I was our district’s Teacher of the Year in 2001 and was honored to enter my portfolio in the state competition, where I was one of many semi-finalists.  I am the High Schools That Work (HSTW) site coordinator for our school and have been since 2002.  I am proud that our school earned a GOLD AWARD at the national HSTW 2010 Summer Conference! For more info about HSTW, visit http://www.sreb.org.  Above all, I love teaching kids.  I love my job!

    Hey Mrs Wilkeson,

Hope you’re having a great day!

I’m doing an expert roundup on my site and I think many new English teachers looking at good education technology products for their classroom would love to know your answer to this question :

If you could only use 3 Education technology tools/apps/sites for your teaching which 3 tools would you choose? e.g. Grammarly, Remind, and Skype.

    Thanks in advance!

As soon as I’m done compiling the results, I would inform and link back to your blog.

    Thank you!
    Ishan
